1. have reasonable goals: if u focus on losing too much weight in too little amount of time, you’ll end up feeling frustrated and stressed and it will lead you to binge
2. never binge: yes, you can do it.
Always try to resist the urge; and if you can’t, try to stop in the middle of it. Because 500 extra calories is not equal to 3000.
3 biscuits ≠ 3 biscuits+pasta+cake+bread
A lightly bloated belly ≠ a belly that seems to contain a 8 months baby!!
3. Exercise: it helps u feeling less guilty and more healthy/skinny. It’s good for u mood and for this reason it also helps not to binge
4. never give up!! Sometimes we have bad times and we don’t succeed in following our diet without binging or cheating and it’s normal!! Just don’t give up and know that you’re not alone!!
5. A step at a time!
6. 0.1 kg lost is better than nothing. Keep this always in mind!!!!
Have accurate weight / measurements recorded [make sure you weigh yourself early, after you use the bathroom and before you eat breakfast]
Think about what meals you want to eat for the day.
Start meal prepping for the week [if you have time, cook them, if not, just write them down]
Pick a time when you will be done eating for the day[mines will be 7PM]
Pick a cheat day [if you want one]
Pick a “weigh in day” [ don’t weigh yourself everyday, you will stress yourself out, weight fluctuates every 24 hours or so]
Go food shopping
Download a fitness / health / weight tracker app on your phone [make sure everyday that your pedometer is turned on, it will count your steps, calories burned and miles went. ] (if you have a Samsung Galaxy you should have the SHealth Fitness app)
2- Some Helpful Tips From Me
Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise EVERY SINGLE DAY
Buy Vanilla Protein Powder [I use a small amount of it as a replacement for sugar / artificial sweeteners in my smoothies]
DON’T WORRY ABOUT COUNTING CALORIES [to me it’s tedious and as long as you watch your serving sizes, sodium intake and know that what you’re eating is already super healthy, then you are good!]
If you don’t have a set workout plan go on Youtube. There are so many long / short workout videos, create a playlist.
KNOW YOUR LIMITS. Do not feel bad that you cannot do certain moves or do something for too long. That should inspire you to want to build your stamina and endurance.
Set small goals. Instead of 100 pounds this year, aim for 2 pounds a week / 8 -10 pounds a month.
Plan your workouts according to time.
3: VERY IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
Please do not stress yourself out over a single thing because you will end up wanting to quit if things get overwhelming. Trust me, I know. It’s happened to me like 100 times. Some of these things cannot be done by everyone, whether it be lack of money or lack of time or even motivation. The #1 issue I have is that I feel like I’m not doing enough so I end up stopping. Some days will be better than others, do not let 1 bad day or 2 or even 3, be the reason you give up. Lastly, please remember that the idea / task of weight loss is MORE MENTAL THAN PHYSICAL. Whenever you get lazy, just think about every single day you’re uncomfortable. Think about how you’ve been trying to change for years. Think about new clothes, the amount of energy and the new confidence and all of the new things you’ll be able to experience this year simply because you feel better about yourself…
I’d really appreciate it if you guys tagged me in your posts/ blog entries about your progress for the next few months… I’m giving out tips and advice but I myself need motivation…..
Some normal person: wOw CraZy WeAther we’re having, HUH!
Me, internally: It may seem “crazy” but this is actually becoming our new normal thanks to climate change, and it’s only going to get worse as time goes on. In reality this isn’t an anomaly at all, and shouldn’t be thought of one, but every couple of months I have this conversation as if these extreme weather events are mere coincidences instead of symptoms of a crisis that threatens all life on earth. How are you so cheerfully, casually remarking about this when it’s such a clear sign of our potential demise? Am I losing my mind here, or has the world lost its mind while I’m the only sane one??!? Why aren’t you more worried about this? Why isn’t everyone running around frantically concerned, treating the issue with the grim weight it deserves???!!!?????!? Are we all just going to smile and compartmentalize as we rocket towards catastrophe???????!!??????? How do I exit this nightmare simulation?? What’s the secret password to signal my supervisors that it’s time to extract me from this VR dystopia piss world????? When it’s all over, will it be quiet? Will we dream?

Good luck sis, love thyself regardless of what weight you are or how you look. Be the best that you can be💖
Okay so I get so many messages asking how I lost all the weight in three months and I can’t be bothered replying to everyone so i’m just going to write a post about it. So basically my weight loss took exactly one hundred days and I set myself a lot of rules that I didn’t break in order to lose it all.
1. Sit down as little as possible. There’s so much you could be doing that doesn’t involve sitting on your phone like cleaning your room (wiping all the surfaces, making your bed, vacuuming, doing a load of washing etc.), organising your draws and cupboards, pampering yourself (painting your nails, washing your face, moisturising, doing a face mask, tanning etc.). Just basically anything is better than sitting down, even when i’m on tumblr I walk around my room I never sit still.
2. Only ever eat one meal. I actually never counted calories when I was losing weight. I would have a coffee in the morning and allow myself to eat one meal at any time with any calories during the day. I found as long as I kept up all my other rules and only ever ate once I would lose weight so yes I was still eating McDonalds while I was losing weight and no I would not gain.
3. Set yourself a daily beauty routine. Not only did I want my body to look good but I wanted to look good too so I started a beauty routine for my hair, face and body that I did everyday. Not only was it a good distraction but I always looked good and got a shit tonne of compliments.
4. Exercise for at least an hour a day. This is where heaps of people fuck up. And no i’m not talking about going for a walk for an hour or sticking strictly to cardio I did a lot of ab and glute exercises because if you’re only doing cardio you may be losing weight but you can still be flabby, if you want a body that you see on tumblr you’re going to have to tone yourself up. I always did my muscle building exercises after dinner.
5. Drink 2L water everyday. Every single night before bed I’d fill up my water bottle and put it in the fridge without fail so every morning I would have 2L of cold water for the day.
So yeah, it’s more about being consistent and having a routine that you don’t fuck up then being really obsessive about calories and then accidentally slipping up and binging.
We’ve been remiss the past few weeks in highlighting some of the great new Tumblr blogs from major media companies. No longer! A look at some of the good media projects that have launched on Tumblr in the past few months.
The LA Times returns with a sharp, engaging Tumblr blog that broadens the mandate of the paper’s longtime Go Mobile Tumblr. LA Times Tumblr covers their city in a way that even non-Angelenos will find useful.
WNYC’s Transmitter: Points off for not being “Transmittr,” but this blog overcomes by providing great insight into the day-to-day workings of New York’s great public radio station. Public radio is especially well-represented on Tumblr, with really nice blogs from NPR, NPR Fresh Air and Public Radio International, to name just a few.
The Sunlight Foundation: Truth in advertising—this is indeed, as the tagline says, “the super sweet Tumblr blog of the Sunlight Foundation.” Great infographics equal compelling, easily rebloggable journalism on Tumblr.
The 20 New York: Twenty New York Tumblr users blog about the local news of the day. An interesting, unique use that integrates Tumblr with NBC’s local TV stations.
Al-Jazeera English: An excellent source of world news, with an emphasis on the Middle East, that is especially useful at a time when it is still difficult to get Al Jazeera’s television coverage in the U.S.
GQ Eye: The even-more fashionable cousin of one of our favorite media Tumblr blogs, GQ Eye is a men’s fashion blog that isn’t afraid to have fun with the conventions of men’s fashion.
The Guardian: The UK newspaper is one of the most innovative in the world when it comes to the social Web, and their newly-launched blog is already a great source of news from a European perspective.
Cheat Sheet: The Daily Beast takes its most Tumblr-ready department and makes an even better Tumblr version.
Virginia Politics: Our favorite part of this blog, aside from its nice insider view of the political goings-on of the Commonwealth, is its really well-executed integration into the rest of the Richmond Times-Dispatch Website.
National Journal: The DC politics publication plays well on Tumblr, which an engaging mix of its own stories, reblogs and reader interaction.
As always with posts like this, there’s the certainty that we’ve missed calling out some really great, deserving blogs. More than 160 media organizations have started Tumblr blogs in the past year, and they’re all worth a look. You can find many of them featured every day on the #News tag page; watch for more tools to discover excellent blogs in the days to come.
